Our Philosophy

At Cultured Kids we strive to give your child the world. We have three guiding principles to help us do just that:

Love

At Cultured Kids, we don’t have teachers, we have Tias. Tia is the Spanish word for “Auntie”. Our Tia’s treat your child like family. They create a loving, caring, supportive environment that gives your child a sense of security and safety; enabling them to grow, thrive and explore their world with confidence.

Culture

By exploring other cultures and traditions, your child is given so much more than more knowledge. When children learn about other cultures, they also learn empathy and are given a whole additional set of lenses through which to see the world.

Language

Cultured Kids is more than a language lesson. It is a full, immersive experience. Giving children the opportunity to learn Spanish when their brains are primed for language learning. Our Tia’s speak to all our children in Spanish, in a casual manner, giving them the tools to become truly bilingual.

About Cultured Kids

A desire to create a neutral meeting place, where families of different cultures can come and interact and grow comfortable with each other, is of special significance to some people. We believe we can be especially helpful to:

  • Families that have adopted children from Spanish speaking countries

  • Bi-racial and bi-cultural couples with children needing reinforcement of the minority culture

  • Parents with children that will eventually attend one of the many Dual Language Immersion programs in the Madison, Oregon, and Middleton school districts

  • Exposure to Spanish in earlier years will help provide a real, potentially lifelong benefit to your child when their brain can make the most of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Immersion Preschools and Bilingual Preschools?

Bilingual preschools use the main language and the goal language together to give the child both options. An immersion preschool only uses the goal language to fully immerse the child with all the senses.

At Cultured Kids, Spanish is the only language spoken to the children and the only language spoken by the children. When they leave this program, they are fluent and ready to engage with their Spanish-speaking friends in Kindergarten and regular life activities. Can you say the same for the three years of French you took in High School?

Where are Your Locations?

Our first preschool is CK-West located at 600 Grand Canyon Dr, Madison, WI 53719 and the calendar above is to book a tour for this location.

Our second location is CK-East located at 1315 Vilas Ave, Madison, WI, 53715. This location is fully enrolled and no tours are available right now.

Is Immersion Learning Effective?

Immersion Learning has been used around the world for the last 50 years. Learning a second language at a young age has shown to boost child's literacy, academic achievement, development of thinking skills, and their cultural sensitivity.
